"Our Hands Helping Others" is currently
working on getting help for a girl that was trafficked
to the Middle East as a teenager, set on fire, burned
over a huge percentage of her body, was disfigured and
denied authorization for over six years to leave the
country she was trapped in. We are currently coordinating
with the State Department, the Government of the Philippines,
the U.S. Embassy, an unnamed Middle Eastern Government,
and a Florida based hospital system and other various
community based organizations. "Our Hands Helping Others"
will be traveling to the girl's country of origin and
escorting the girl to America for skin grafting, plastic
surgery and other health procedures that may be necessary.
We hope that when we are finished, this girl is no longer
forced to hide herself in shame and can live a more
dignified life.
The I.T. initiative is a program created by the President
of “Our Hands Helping Others” to help the children of
single drug addicted parents. Marginalized and less
educated families are more predisposed to drug use and
addiction. If children are brought up in homes with
only one parental figure and that parental figure is
an addict, the child’s chances of becoming an addict
multiply exponentially. The I.T. initiative is a program
that houses families in “K” houses if needed or assumes
the addicts housing payment for multiple years. Our
Hands Helping Others then, places the parents in a 30
month expedited college education program, counsel’s
the addict about sex / drug abuse using Will Interactive
Inc.’s ( www.willinteractive.com
) patented behavior modification program (VEILS) Virtual
Experience Immersive Learning Simulations with the intent
of modifying the addict’s behavior and life decision
making skills. “Our Hands Helping Others” then locates
jobs with livable wages for participants upon completion
of the whole program. . .
The “Save the Children” initiative provides psychological
and psychiatric counseling services to adolescent, pre
teen, teenage and young adult victims of sex crimes.
The initiative educates family members about trauma
and the life long impact sexual abuse will have on the
victim. How to deal with the child and warning signs
or indicators of other problems that tend to be associated
with child victims of rape or molestation. The goal
is to rehabilitate the child as much as possible (some
trauma can never be gotten over) and provide their families
with the information necessary to nurture the child
properly. We believe that with empathy, love and compassion
the child victims of these forms of abuse can grow to
be productive adults , have long term loving relationships
and be productive members of society. |
