Every decision and endeavor undertaken by OHHO is guided by our three principles of honor, courage and commitment.

Honor

Honor is the evaluation of a person's and organization's trustworthiness and status based on that individual's or organizations actions. Honor is what determines a person's, as well as an organizations character. At OHHO our decisions and endeavors are based on honesty, respect, integrity and fairness. Our organization, employees and actions parallel our code of honor.

Courage

Also known as bravery, will and fortitude, courage is the ability to confront fear, pain, risk, danger, uncertainty or intimidation. Physical courage is courage in the face of physical pain, hardship, or threat of death, while moral courage is the courage to act rightly in the face of popular opposition, shame, scandal or discouragement. Physical and moral courage will be traits of every OHHO employee.

Commitment

Commitment means to duty or pledge to something, and at OHHO, it refers to two facets of commitment. Our personal commitment to always do what is morally and ethically right and our organizational commitment which is to do what is morally and ethically right while following supreme law.

Ethical Business Conduct

Our Hands Helping Others policies require that its business be conducted with honesty and integrity and in compliance with domestic, international and supreme law. Company policies establish clear ethical standards and guidelines for how we do business and establish accountability. All employees of Our Hands Helping Others are required to obey supreme law and comply with standards relating to legal obligations, ethics, and business conduct.

Rights of Children

Our Hands Helping Others condemns all forms of exploitation of children and supports the elimination of exploitative child labor. OHHO supports laws enacted to prevent and punish the crime of sexual exploitation of children. OHHO will work to raise awareness concerning such exploitation and will cooperate with international law enforcement to address any such instances of exploitation of which OHHO becomes aware. Our Hands Helping Others will continue to focus on helping children break out of the cycle of poverty that makes them and their families vulnerable.

Human Dignity and Migration

The nexus between development and international migration cannot be overlooked. Migration brings challenges and opportunities to countries of origin, destination and transit. This is a multi faceted issue that requires international cooperation to be addressed in a coordinated and humane manner.

OHHO stands ready to cooperate and if necessary stand against countries in contributing towards the formulation of effective mechanisms that would help ensure a smooth management of the migration phenomenon.

There is a need to adopt a declaration calling for greater inter religious, inter-cultural and inter-civilization dialogue and cooperation to ensure an understanding at the global, regional and national levels. What affects one affects all in a globalized economy

The information age has opened limitless opportunities that could be used to benefit humanity.

It is, therefore, in our common interest to bring together our collective strengths to take advantage of the opportunities before us.

Our common humanity remains at stake.

We must not lose sight of the need to increase congruence among national, regional and international plans of action. Keeping these in sight contributes to a faster rate of achieving the goals.

We must rethink our existing modes of international cooperation. There will be value in assessing how we have been collaborating bilaterally, regionally and multilaterally. Let us assess the effectiveness of our current modes of cooperation and if necessary change those modes or build on them.
